Another irritating thing about cable news outlets
Whenever a politician speaks, they feel it neccessary to run a crawl along the bottom of the screen to explain what he or she just said. I am paying attention, I know what I just heard and do not need anyone to explain or repeat it to me. And most people pay attention I suspect, so why, other than propaganda, do they run the crawl?
Note- the above question is basically a rhetorical one. The answer is obvious.

1. The speech was well timed, actually
because the braying morons will have to wait over 24 hours for Rove to tell Limbag what to tell them they heard.

2. For the hearing-impaired? Even if not deliberately run for that purpose,
I would guess hearing-impaired people appreciate visual transcription of what's going on.

3. Ok good point
Guess I am just in kind of a gripey (is that a word?) mood lately and failed to think of a good and logical answer like yours.

4. Could be, or for watchers in public places where you can't hear well over the noise?
