I am SICK and TIRED of these right-wingers spreading LIES over the public airwaves!
I am so goddamned sick and tired of people like Hannity, Beck, Limbaugh, and other right-wingers continually spreading their LIES about the proposed health-care legislation over the public airwaves. They're continuing to push these LIES that have already been debunked on multiple occasions. They continue to scare old people into thinking that Obama is going to have "death boards" telling them that they have to submit to euthanasia. They continue to peddle the propaganda about government deciding your health care, or that you'll have to wait long periods of time to be seen.

Does the First Amendment mean that it's okay to say whatever fucking bullshit you want over the public airwaves, regardless of whether it's true or not? Does it mean they can continue to push their blatant propaganda unchecked? They have in essence turned AM talk radio into the GOP Broadcasting Network.

1. Unless and until the media's re-regulated and deconsolidated, this is what you'll get
and it will get worse with each passing week.

2. Here's the problem: who do you trust to determine the truth?
What if a Bush official had been able to stop people from saying that Saddam was no threat?

As I noted in another thread - it's time to talk to the advertisers. Even Rupert Murdoch has to make money.

3. I used to blame Clinton, for not making good on his promise re: the Fairness Doctrine.
Now I just don't even care who's to blame. I just want it to stop.

4. what are we going to do about it?
it's gonna take a whole lot of people getting away from the computers and protesting in order to make the change.

6. LOTS of people marched against the Iraq invasion and Bush said he didn't listen to focus groups
In some cities, the marchers were a million strong.

Claiming that people walking in the streets would solve this is just ignoring recent history.

5. where is the responsible media which should be calling them on there lies?
Instead NBC, CBS, ABC treat them like legitamite opponents of health care, and don't point out that there arguments are all a pack of lies.
