Edwards interviewed on the Imus controversy::
I find this interesting:

During his Q&A with reporters in Mamaroneck, Democrat John Edwards condemned the remarks radio personality Don Imus made about the Rutgers women’s basketball team but stopped short of calling for the so-called shock jock to be fired or ruling out a future appearance on his program.

“If you tolerate this kind of language in your presence, you are essentially sowing the seeds of intolerance,” Edwards said. “And I think all of us have an obligation to speak out and condemn this kind of language when it’s used, no matter who uses it.”

Edwards, though said “we need to see what happens,” in response to questions about Imus being fired or whether he would ever appear on the program again. He noted that Imus intends to meet with the basketball team to express his apology.

“We need to see how this works out, before I make a judgement on that,” Edwards said when asked whether he would appear on Imus’s how. “But the language was absolutely wrong.”
