LTTE: Sen. DeMint trying to have it both ways
The hypocrisy among us. Sen. Jim DeMint criticizes Cash for Clunkers, calling it a government cash “giveaway,” but isn’t complaining about a government cash “giveaway” to the wealthiest Americans (not just corporations) called “tax breaks.” Is it the income level of those who benefit the most from government cash “giveaways” that determines if it’s a giveaway? Apparently so.

Cash for Clunkers is so popular the senator may actually know someone who took advantage of it.

Those tax breaks he supported promised new jobs creation. Tell us, senator, approximately how many new jobs were created by these tax breaks — and start with Exxon Mobil if you will, because, if you remember, around the time the tax breaks were approved, Exxon’s CEO retired with a $500 million package. Include new jobs created by individuals who benefited from the tax-breaks as well.

I think most people could send this to Rethug senators. We have double digit unemployment in SC, and I have yet to hear DeMinted talk about jobs. I'd bet cash money that if you did ask him, he would only talk about tax breaks.

C Street philosophy.

1. He's white trash...
like his constituents. Why would you expect him to be any different from the people he represents? Of course he doesn't make logical sense.
