Reply I listened to the briefing today with Robert Gibbs and your question to him, that he still will not answer, about how and why certain people are getting emails from David Axelrod. I am one of those people and I too would like to know why I received the email. I am a 45 year old wife and mother of two in Greenville, SC and I am puzzled why I received this. I appreciate your continued questioning of this matter and urge you to please keep asking until it is answered. Thank you, Cindy Roxburgh

Reply Mr. Garrett. Thanks for aksing the axelrod email question. I got one too and did not want advertisments for why I should want the health care reform. I don’t evn know what it is because the President still hasn’t told us and nothing is clear in congress. Keep up the good work. You are not in my “dog house” Thanks for sticking up for main street America. You are doing a great job.

Reply For Major Garrett:

Count me as one who received an unsolicited email from David Axelrod entitled, “Something Worth Forwarding”. Although I have contacted The White House regarding various political issues, I have always stated that I did not wish to have a reply. I sent The White House another email today asking why they were sending me this information. It would appear they are collecting email addresses for their own political agenda.

Reply I got an email from the whitehouse a few weeks ago asking me to watch obama addressing the nation about an issue. I was stunned that i got this email since i have not contacted the whitehouse since obama has been in office and i have not to my remembrance given this administratkion my email address. where did they get my email address? I thought about contacting fox news at the time to report this practice. i went back to find the email that was sent and i apparently had deleted it from my recycle bin.

Reply recieved that e-mail from the White House via Axelrod. only way they got my e-mail was that last week I e-mailed the White House a question regarding the use of the word “Americans” when referring to the 45 mill or so uninsurred. Seems to me that if 15 mill or so are illegalsm, the use of the term “Americans” is misleading.
By the way, I have not received a reply, just Axelrod’s mass juck mailing.

Reply I heard about the “fishy” healthcare reporting sight and promptly sent them an email reporting myself for being against the proposed healthcare package. Never got a response, wonder why????

Reply I have used the whitehouse.gov website to voice my opinion to the White House on several occasions. I was surprised to get the Axelrod email and thought it was spam. I would imagine that one of the ways they are getting the emails is from those who contact the White House on the web site. Either way, it is scary and wrong. Would this be any Republican administration, the media would be decrying this and probably would have prosecuted someone by now. What a double standard. I’m sure I’m on their “enemy’s list,” and I don’t care, but I sure don’t want to receive emails like this from the current administration.

Reply Thurs, 8/13/09. Robert Gibbs was extremely rude to you today. He almost rolled his eyes when he had to take a question from you. Keep up the good work. We all count on you to be the voice of truth in a room full of puppets. I cannot believe they all call themselves journilists.

Reply Please ask Gibbs why on earth they would redo the whole healthcare system and not trying to do the simple things first and see how they work. Like opening state borders to buy insurance, That would bring the cost down immediatly. We can do it with Auto insurance and everyone can afford it.

Reply Amen to that! I thought the same thing when I saw the re-play of Gibbs’ exchange with Major Garrett last night on Greta’s OTR. Gibbs comes across as totally stupid. But, what do you expect of an Auburn grad!

Reply Lorraine,
How can they support the new health-care plans, MediCare, MedicAid and Social Security without raising taxes on those earning less than $250,000 a year? Simple. Once hyper-inflation hits, and that $250,000 is with what $10 are today, the minimum wage will have to be something like $1,500,000 an hour. Then, it’s easy not to raise taxes on people making under $250,000 a year.

Reply I am with you on this. It is scary. I am afraid for what our country, our freedom, and our liberty is becoming! I am sure they are collecting data on all of us.

3. A couple of points: Major Garrett tried to hammer Gibbs with questions about

this yesterday. Gibbs didn't have any knowledge of how they were getting *ahem* White House emails. I think it was to start a new fear mongering subject.

Here's the second point:
That last post in your OP said: It is scary. I am afraid for what our country, our freedom, and our liberty is becoming! I am sure they are collecting data on all of us.

Dick Cheney started that with data mining. It doesn't matter that they have her email address. They have known how her credit card was being used for years now. She's just too stupid to have paid attention to it before now.

BTW, last Sunday's Law & Order Criminal Intent had one minute on this: the Homeland Security Agent was given data indicating one credit card was used to purchase muriatic (hydrochloric) acid, hydrogen peroxide, and something else to mix to make a big boom. The NYC detectives asked her if they had had this person under surveillance for awhile, and she said No, it spiked during data mining, "but you didn't hear that from me."
