senators-Olympia Snowe Maine and Richard Lugar Indiana

seems to be a classy guy.

I like Olympia Snowe too.

i don't think there are any moderate Republican congressman left. Sherwood Boehlert was a good one while he lasted though.

3. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen is ok on glbt rights

Ros-Lehtinen is a Republican, although she sides with the Democrats on the issue of gay rights. Her district includes large LGBT populations in South Beach in Miami Beach and in the Florida Keys. She supports anti-hate crime laws, anti-discrimination bills, believes gays and lesbians should be allowed to serve openly in the armed forces, is a sponsor of the Domestic Partnership Benefits and Obligations Act, voted against the Federal Marriage Amendment, and was a founding member (one of only two Republicans)and the only current Republican member of the LGBT congressional caucus.

endlessly entertaining. Inhofe, somewhat ironically, is a true fossil, and there's something about the way Coburn combs his hair that just screams goofball. In the House, it has to be the lovely and talented Michelle Bachmann. I find her strangely appealing, in a demented, rabbitty sort of way.

10. Olympia is smart and persuasive. I wish we could trade Ben Nelson for her.

Over a long period of time the pickins are pretty thin on good Republicans.

Lincoln, of course.

Lowell Weicker in the Nixon era. Pete McCloskey. Mark Hatfield wasn't bad. Mayor John Lindsay of New York. John Chafee and Lincoln Chafee, by degree.

Maybe one or two others here and there.

Of living serving Republicans I think Snowe is the best of the batch.
