A political question?

If healthcare reform fails, is it better poltically for the Democrats or the Republicans? Can the Democrats blame the Repubs for being against reform? Can the Republicans win by taking credit for the failure of "socialized medicine"? Just looking down the road to the next election...

1. honestly, i would say its more likely to piss of the support on the left

and make them less likely to come out for the dems than it will piss off the right. so i got to say i think it will make the dems look weak to their base and the repub base will see it as a win...
