Dick Armey say's ditching the Public Option for Co-Op's is a sign
that the health care debate is being lost by the Democrat's.

Should this be a clear message that the GOP will see it as a victory if a public option isn't in the final results?

1. The GOP AND Obama did a great job of framing this debate
It is the DLC / Blue Dogs / Corporate Dems that have FAILED. The end reslult will be reform that Obama will be proud of, or reform that Obama cannot be proud of.
In the end, it may be that both the GOP and Obama are proud. The GOP don't need facts, so they can be proud that they stripped Death Panels from the bill. I beleive that Obama wants true reform and will take pride in true reform.

4. If I Heard Right Though At the End Armey Seemed To Be Casting A Negative Spin......
even on the idea of 'co-ops' with his Freddie & Fannie Med crack.

So it looks like we've gone from 'single payer' - said that was a non-starter and didn't even position that in the debate.

Then we took it to a 'strong public option' - and backed off on the word 'strong' - because we didn't want the government to have an unfair advantage in competing with private insurance companies.

An now the Dems and the President seem to be caving on just a "weak public option" and say that they'd be willing to entertain 'co-ops'.

And lo and behold - it looks like Armey was now trying to cast negativity on that idea as well.

I just don't understand this. We gave the Dems the WH - and both the Senate and the House.

Why are they caving on this?

And if it turns out that they do - I'm going to have to change my political affiliation. Anyone for an "Independent Underground"?

6. I'm so sorry that I even tuned into MTP this morning.
The only reason I did was because Rachael was going to be on. That POS, Gregory, allowed Armey to go on and on without stop. What a blowhard and gigantic gasbag. I finally had to shut the TV off because I couldn't take anymore of Armey. I hope MTP and Gregory go down in flames. I think the only way I could ever tune into it again would be that O'Donnell or Maddow were the hosts. Other than that, MTP is a complete waste of my precious time.
