What happened to the parade of Imus media apologists?
Especially the NBC news department. All these weenies were regulars on his show yet I haven't heard jack shit from any of them since he first got suspended. Have they been told to STFU by the suits at NBC? Are they so shallow that they just plain didn't give a rats ass about Imus but were only using his crappy show to promote their crappy books?

I did hear Bo Deetle on Scarborough offering a lame defense of Imus, and I read somewhere that Carville and Begala had sort of half assedly stuck up fopr him too before Hillary told them to can it. But not a word from russert, tweety, andrea mitchell, tucker or any of the other NBC Imus regulars.

1. It's a giant sucking sound
The power dynamic is all against him, so he is fast becoming useless to them.

Maybe they'll send a card.

6. "He crossed the line"..again!
snips~

"NBC News President Steve Capus said he made the decision after reading thousands of e-mails and having countless discussions with NBC workers and the public, but he denied the potential loss of advertising dollars had anything to do with it."

"He's crossed the line’
Calls for Imus’ firing from the radio portion of the program have intensified during the past week, and remained strong even after MSNBC’s announcment. The show originates from WFAN-AM in New York City and is syndicated nationally by Westwood One, both of which are managed by CBS Corp. MSNBC, which had been simulcasting the show, is a unit of General Electric Co.’s NBC Universal."

Those who want to email cbs for imus' firing will be heard.

5. I support Imus's right to say asinine things.
I also support his right to pay for the consequences of his asinine remarks.
and the right of everybody else to say what an a$$hole he is. (and he most certainly is)

free speech , either you are for it or you are against it.

8. Where's Harold Ford ? ...."are you alright .... "
Anybody notice the last few days that IMUS kept asking "where's Harold Ford, anybody heard from Harold...I hope he's alright..." and then would follow it with Lucinda William's song "Are You alright.... ever since you went away.....lalalalala...."

Me thinks there was a message there... IMUS damn near got him elected to the senate last fall...and apparently Harold has dropped him like a cryptonite rock....

Anybody else see that ?

9. I wondered why he kept playing that day after day after day after day
I didn't associate it with Harold Ford, although I noticed, too, that he kept saying "I hope he's ok." It was weird. He also kept talking about deciding whether he was going to be able to keep going because of his lung condition.

And then the feces hit the circular air handler.

11. Ford lost election due to racist commercials
do you think he wants to give Imus support for his same behavior. Thought it was Imus' wife who was pressuring Ford's support by Imus anyway.

12. DIdn't know about IMUS' wife angle on Ford...
It always seemed to me he genuinely liked the guy, often went overboard on his support and praise. He raised Ford's stock in a major way. And yes Ford lost due to those racist ads. Ironically, he was a worthy contender because of a 'racists' support'. Ford also knew who Don Imus was and what kind of show he had. It didn't seem to bother him at all to lap up his support while he was running for senate, and now Ford is no where to be found? Loyalty to friends matters much to me.... I think less of Ford if he dumped Imus in his hour of need, as much as Imus did for him. Just my opinion.

10. David Gregory said from the getgo
he didn't feel comfortable being affiliated with Imus..

Carville and Begala both on Imus this am lending support and giving him advice. See no indication that Hillary "canned" them in any way

13. Why did Gregory always call in to his show then ?
At least Keith Olberman was consistent - he never went on. You can't have it both ways. Imus helped make Gregory and boost his exposure. I can't stand to see these hypocrites who kissed his ring for so long, and then let the %$#@ hit the fan and they go scurrying like a bunch of scared rabbits. Two-faced weenies.
