Okay, so he's not the only one. But after a few months hosting "Meet The Press," how can anyone doubt that he's sold his soul to corporate America?
I've read the threads on how wonderful Rachel Maddow was this morning (up against Dick Armey) and I totally agree. But how come no one remarked that almost anytime she tried to finish a thought, David Gregory cut her off. And anytime they hit a break, Dick Armey was allowed to continue with the crap that he was spouting -- sometimes for up to a full minute.
The first time I got pissed off at David Gregory was a few years ago during a Washington Press Club TV soiree, when Karl Rove did a "rap" number, and good ole' David was on the stage laughing and trying to keep up with the rhythm and Karl. (Picture Walter Cronkite or Sam Donaldson doing that.)
Regarding "Meet the Press," I think that Tim Russert was a nice man and a lousy "journalist." And I also think that David Gregory is a also a lousy "journalist." But then he fits right into the mold of Sunday morning, corporate owned, TV whores.
And regarding that miserable person named Dick Armey, I think he's the scum of the earth. I also chuckle whenever I think of Dick Cavett saying: "Dick Armey. That sounds like a production number in a gay revue."
On edit: As Rachel (and others) has reported, Dick Armey is the highly paid, major lobbyist behind the so-called "grass-roots," town hall "protesters." Aren't you "shocked, just shocked" that David Gregory didn't mention this?
