Has there been a public statement regarding the public option from Obama today?

regarding Sebelius' comments this morning? I would think by now the pressure for a response from him would be getting pretty intense. :shrug:

And Gibbs' statement was made before Sebelius' statement.

Not one single Adminsitration official has walked back Sebelius' statement.

Not one.

ergo, it is currently the active paradigm.

Until walked back, the administration is fine with throwing the public option out.

5. This could all be a trial balloon. See what reaction is.

Administrations do this all the time. Send out a hack to float an idea, gauge reaction then either go with it or back off.

11. It sounds like what she is saying (and I could be wrong)

is that they want to see what Congress comes up before endorsing or rejecting anything. I guess they think that if there is a way that we can get what the administration wants that doesn't include a public option, they're not necessarily unwilling to at least consider it. :shrug:
