The Republicans wish to deprive FOLKS WHO WANT government health care
from being able to choose government health care. That is the flaw in the right-wing's arguments.

Under Obama's proposal, no one will be forced to have public health care. But if people want to have it, they can choose it.

It seems really un-American for Republicans to want to deprive people who want government managed health care from having it. Some people really do trust the government more than they trust private insurance companies. Please give us a choice too. There are enough of us to pay for it.

1. The Republicans don't have the votes to pass anything
I don't really care what they want to do any more than I care what the Lyndon LaRouche Party wants to do. It is dishonest to keep blaming this debacle on Republicans.

2. How is it dishonest, they have lied and they are against reform?

3. That part isn't dishonest.
They have lied and they are against reform. So what? The Libertarian Party is against reform too. Are they to blame for the lack of reform? We have the votes to pass anything we want. If we don't, it is our own fault, not the Republicans or the Libertarians or the LaRouchies or the Flat Earthers.

6. I disagree, although your point that some democrats would share responsibility with Republicans
Makes sense. But to give the Republicans a pass would be wrong.

7. I'm not giving them a pass
I am quite happy that those swine are out of power. But alas, they are out of power.

4. I said the Republicans "wish" to deprive those of us who want
to have a public option of our right to choose a public option. They are claiming that we are trying to force something on them. To the contrary, they are trying to force us either into some sort of private option.

They talk about choice, but want to deprive us of a choice.

5. The Banana Party
wishes to replace the dollar with the banana as the basis for our currency. I'm not sure what their platform says about health care reform, but I bet it is pretty messed up. Damn that Banana Party, they are standing in the way of real reform.
