7. Trying to get republicans "onboard" is an exercise in futility.
It reminds me of this:

You're having a barbeque, and a guest says.."I'm a vegetarian, so why not have a vegetarian barbeque with NO MEAT"... The host says okay, since he seems to really want that person to attend, so the whole menu gets tweaked, and now it's all veggies...Money is spent buying the best quality veggies, and all the other guests who were looking forward to steaks, have been told..some have backed out..people who the host really wanted to attend, as well..

The day arrives and a half hour before the barbeque starts, the vegetarian guest calls and says.."I can't make it".

I'm sure the veggie barbeque will be tasty, but it's not what the rest of the guests were hoping for or even wanted.

3. It's bigger than Healthcare
it's a chance to get Democrats to help the GOP defeat the Democrats.

5. I have changed the channel.. I have sworn off republispeak
Nothing they have to say is "new" or even remotely "interesting".

I have also taken to DVR-ing Morning Dead Aide, and then after it's been on for 2 hours, I "watch it", and whiz through commercials & republicans..(no difference actually, between the two)..I can watch a 3.5 hr show (with Willie's 30 minute pre-show) in about 45 minutes:)

possible and then vote against it anyway, no matter what is or isn't in it.

Grassley is 76 years old - would someone please ask him if he's on Medicare?
