Is he a optimist? Howard Dean believes we will have public option health care bill by December

and that Obama will sign it. This is what he said this morning on the CBS Morning News. I hope he is right. He also, correctly, stated that without a public option it isn't true health care reform.

For supporters of the public option, Dean gave the bill a positive prognosis.

"It will pass with the public option," he said, "and the president will sign it sometime in December."

2. At least we have a real Democrat on TV refuting the Republicans

story that Obama will sign a watered down bill. If we had
Democrats out from the beginning who speak with the clarity
of Dean we would not be in this pickle.

After the 2 statements from WH this AM. Dean is onto something.

There is a way we can have a bill as Dean says.

5. Both Sebellius and Dean have to get their information from Congress

It is entirely possible that Dean's source is someone like Chris Dodd, who I think is leading the effort in the Senate - Sebellius is getting hers from Baucus or Conrad. Dean'sown chart has many people undecided. It miht be possible that he knows that might be persuadable.
