Anyone having trouble emailing the Whitehouse?

I get halfway through the contact info and then I get redirected to a can't find the address page.

Although I just sent a message with no snags and I'm on IE7.

Jane Hampshire was just on MSNBC reiterating that 72% of Americans favor the Public Option.
Don't the Dems that are resistant know what they are in for if they don't include a public option?

your problem. my computer does not save info anymore. i don't know what other issues this version has but look forward to the next with a fix (i hope).

as for the wh email . . . i just heard that it was being worked on because some complained about having their email addresses used by the wh to send newsletters. they are no longer going to 'harvest' email addies from people who send them emails. i guess those rw fundies who are emailing death threats don't want to receive the obama admin's newsletters. :eyes:

At the subject line they've added a question which really doesn't appear until you
click on "subject" -- and then you kinda get tossed . . . .

answer that and go back to subject --

and continue --

PLUS they're playing the game of subscribing you to their e-mails now --

AND added one of those idiotic lines where you have to copy out what you see!!!

KEEP FIGHTING FOR OPEN E-MAIL FOR EVERY ELECTED OFFICIAL -- THIS IS CRAP!!!

Even Bush/Cheney had open e-mails!!!

14. I just heard on the news that the WH was hit with a ton of emails

with email addresses over the weekend. They are trying to clear them out.

Someone/several must have sent large email lists or did something where they ended up with a major mess. I didn't understand the whole thing, but it was apparently a prank.

FWIW:

I chose to write directly to the EMAIL ADDRESS: president@whitehouse.gov -- rather than using the "CONTACT US" form ( at http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact ), because that WEB SERVER and the form itself have been reported as being sluggish, even non-responsive at times, by others here @ DU.
