I wish she'd call him out and ask why he doesn't disclose that he is a staffer for one of the hardest right members of congress in CO.

6. Complete dick. Fits in well with the pukes. Sounded like he was trying to ask Contessa
what "the Obama doctrine" is before his mic was cut.

2. Contessa was talking and he interrupted and she said, wait, we should have a reasonable debate.
This guy is a total tool. Complete RW talking points. Asked if he could ask her a question and she said, "Nope, this is my show..." LOL

Still wish they'd have called him on his real position.

Anyone have contact info for Contessa Brewer or MSNBC?

3. Who does he work for?
And I'm just astounded, in general, by how many people are concerned about whether a public option is "fair" to health insurers. What? Really? This is an issue?

They'll be the same people bitching about the costs of insurance. But forcing insurers to actually compete for those customers is somehow now anti-American. I thought these tools thought competition in the market was good and healthy?

7. I'm trying to find the post, but he works as a staffer for a CO congress critter who is super hard
right. A couple days ago someone posted the edited profile from his Twitter account to show he changed.

8. He may be a student, but he's also a staffer for a GOP congress person. His edited profile was
posted here the other day. Trying to find it.

College Student Questioning Obama Was Republican Staffer
By Jeralyn, Section Colorado News
Posted on Sun Aug 16, 2009 at 03:28:18 PM EST

Zach Lahn got a lot of attention yesterday for his question to President Obama in Grand Junction about how private insurance companies could possibly compete against a Government non-profit, and his cocky attitude, shouting out and play to the media.

He failed to disclose he was a staffer for one of Colorado’s most right-wing Republicans in the State legislature. (He’s taken his Linked-In profile down.) As Colorado Pols says:
http://www.state.co.us/gov_dir/leg_dir/Senate/members/S
http://coloradopols.com/diary/10079/sen-brophys-aide-ge

It also takes some “chutzpah” to fail to disclose to either the President or to reporters interviewing you afterward that you’re a staffer for one of the hardest-right Republicans in the Colorado Senate, Sen. Greg “Obama’s Gonna Take Yer Guns” Brophy, wouldn’t you say? It’s not like that should have disqualified him from asking the question–much like the infamous Brooks Brothers riot of Florida 2000 legend, though, it would have helped explain why he was so, um, “passionate.”

Here’s how he describes himself on his Twitter page (his tweets are private)

Determined Christian Conservative in CO, home state of IA not stopping until everyone agrees w/me Pro-Life, Pro-Guns, Pro-Reagan, Anti-Big Gov

Two days ago, his profile read:

Determined Christian Conservative Legislative Aide in CO, home state of IA not stopping until everyone agrees w/me Pro-Life, Pro-Guns, Pro-Reagan, Anti-Big Gov (my emphasis)

13. LIstening to him at the Colorado town hall, I was struck
by how much he sounded like the "independents" and conservatives who call in to Thom Hartmann and other liberal radio talk shows.

Ever notice how glib articulate they are? How they are mostly young men who have a non-specific accent? How they have all the republican bullet points?

I've wondered if they weren't paid republican staffers and now I'm sure of it, having seen Zack on television twice now.
