Axed Ted Nugent flipped out on paper; referenced Nazis
http://rawstory.com/blog/2009/08/axed-ted-nugent-flipped-out-on-paper-referenced-nazis/

Ted Nugent, the "Texas Wildman" rocker, is no longer a newspaper columnist. At least, not in Waco, Texas.

It all started when The Waco Tribune's new owners laid down an alternate set of rules for their editorial page. Number one, more conservative views will be expressed. Number two, no more being mean. (That's a paraphrase.)

Ted did not like this.

"So I get this spineless, soulless anti-American Email from Carlos Sanchez, new editor of Waco Tribune, listing new rules for my weekly Sunday feature telling me I cant criticize anyone, only recommend things, can’t have any negativity, only cute nicyness," he blasted on his Web site -- his online "Tedquarters," as he calls it.

8. He jumped ship a while back
. . . I suspect hoping he could run as Chuck Norris' VP candidate when Texas secedes.

Damn. There's no emoticon available to express the odd mixture of emotions Ted invokes. . . I can't decide if I find him more hysterically ridiculous or disgusting, and the fact there are people who seem to care what he says should probably scare us.

9. Just yesterday, I was watching an Anthony Bourdain show on the travel
channel. He visited nugent to eat some freshly killed stuff. It was filmed last year, and bourdain asked how nugent would view a democrat win or takeover in congress. Nugebt hed his rifle up and said it "would be a target rich environment." I hate I used to like his music.

12. I once told ted how much I loved his songs "Like a Rock" and
"Katmandu" he wasn't very good at accepting a compliment. In fact he was down right rude and told me I must be thinking of "Cat Scratch Fever" I told him, "No that song's too sucky" for some reason he didn't want to talk to me any more. This was a couple of years ago when my brother in law's band opened for Nugent.

15. Ted is the type of guy that never faced a living thing that could shoot back.
Killing wild game is one thing.

If a loaded weapon is pointed in my direction, return fire is instantly indicated. Your perspective on fight or flight gets rapidly drawn into focus when someone with deadly intent is shooting back at you.

He was a coward when his country called him to duty as a young man, and he is a coward now.

10. Why is it called Texas, and not TexASS...
There are so many jackasses there, that perhaps a name change is in order.

11. Here's the best part
The Waco Tribune used to be owned/published by Cox Media. In July of this year, Cox sold the paper to Waco resident Clifton Robinson, owner of Robinson Media. In other words, The Waco Tribune is one of those rare hometown newspapers that is finally back in the hands of a hometown publisher.

14. More conservative = more mean.
They wanted a stealth wingnut, and Nugent lacks the necessary discipline.
