Don't progessive read....
I mean four of the top ten books on the NYT best seller list are conservative screeds.

1 CULTURE OF CORRUPTION, by Michelle Malkin. (Regnery, $27.95.) President Obama and his team of tax cheats, petty crooks, influence peddlers and Wall Street cronies. 1 2

4* CATASTROPHE, by Dick Morris and Eileen McGann. (Harper/HarperCollins, $26.99.) Stopping President Obama before he transforms America into a socialist state and destroys the health care system. (†) 4 7

5 LIBERTY AND TYRANNY, by Mark R. Levin. (Threshold Editions, $25.) A conservative manifesto from a talk-show host and president of Landmark Legal Foundation. 2 20

7 A BOLD FRESH PIECE OF HUMANITY, by Bill O’Reilly. (Broadway, $26.) The Fox News commentator on his upbringing and career. 10 41

Really, though, I think this shows that progressive are more interested in expanding their horizons while conservatives seek constant reinforcement about what they all ready know...

2. I've read conservative books are bought in bulk by orgs. to get
on the NYT list. A month later you see them in the $ store.

12. I'm sure I can google that, but the guy is a nut job. I recall the
Clintons criticized him-he obviously didn't like it. But to change his whole pov in mid-life, realizing who he'd be defending? He's unstable.

14. That's EXACTLY what it is. There's change coming, as they're getting ready to
stop counting bulk sales as sales.

Finally. And this goes for both sides, really, though much more for the right-wingers. These think-tanks and special interest groups give them away with memberships. That's not a damn sale.

5. The conservatives are in lockstep...
And that comes down to whatever they're reading.

Liberals are not like that at all...

We read whatever we damn well feel like!

:P

6. It's what Babylonsister said
They don't get read, they barely even get bought. They're sold wholesale at giveaway prices to foster exactly this illusion then dumped by the thousands, distributed for peanuts to conservative book clubs.

It's so bad the authors have even complained about their royalties.

7. Thinking about that....
My local Walmart(that I am not supposed to be in) never carries ANY progressive reading materials.
They have a "spiritual, Christian section" right next to Low Rider, and all those other sleaze ass mags with half naked women on the cover. I finally know what Christian Family values are.

10. I wouldn't know, I don't go to Wal-mart.

Do you have book stores like Barnes and Noble nearby? That's a fun place to spend some time in, too (unlike Wal-mart!).

13. Yes i do.
I am such a reading freak though, whenever I buy my one item there (cat litter) I look for something to read. I realize I shouldn't go there, I know it. It is about 3 blks away. But I am glad I get to see the bullshit in their stores, I used to go and make sure to flip all of Coulter's and Olielly's books backwards. It made me feel a little better to raise a little hell. I also made sure to buy my car window markers there and use them to decorate my car in their parking lot, with my Obama slogans. It was my little FUCK YOU!!

15. I read...just not political books. And I definitely had no need to slanted partisan books that
lie to make me feel better.
