Raiders coach Cable punches his assistant coach in meeting & puts him in hospital
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/08/17/SPO5199R61.DTL

Raiders coach Tom Cable assaulted a member of his coaching staff two weeks ago at training camp, putting the assistant coach in the hospital, according to two sources familiar with the incident.

Napa police confirmed a Raiders assistant was attacked by another member of the team staff on Aug. 6, but said the victim refused to name his attacker and declined to cooperate with their initial investigation.

The victim's identity was also not revealed for privacy reasons, but multiple team and league sources identified him as Randy Hanson, a third-year quality control coach on the defensive staff. The sources requested anonymity. And Cable was expected to address the matter later in the day Monday.

Cable was first identified as the one who struck Hanson in the jaw by the sports Web site AOL Fanhouse. Another site, the National Football Post, first reported the incident Monday morning without naming Cable.

Just trying to maintain the team's image.

3. Testosterone is a wicked drug
From youth football up to the pros lots of "meathead / bully" coaches get into the business.

Randy Hanson is going to be very rich. The Raiders would be better off spending $ on understanding
NFL level football talent.

10. You mean "Kill the quarterback"?
Pretty much sums it up. Pro football is the definition of
"controlled violence". Kick the shit out of your opponent
within the rules. Whether one likes it or not, aggressive
sport is very human and always will be.
