Democrats always repeat the same mistake ....
Democrats failed to prosecute Iran/Contra Republicans because they wanted to 'move forward, not look back.' Of course the most criminally liable Repubs not only escaped full investigation and prosecution, but they rose from the dead like zombies to populate the George W. Bush Administration to pick up where they left off.

Democrats win big in 2008 and have the power to fully investigate and criminally prosecute Repubs who engaged in some of the most heinous crimes in history over the last 8 years. And what has happened so far?

Most US Attorneys appointed by Bush who have turned the DOJ into a Repub political arm ARE STILL IN OFFICE. Evidence has been presented of Bush Administration Officials engaging in all kinds of illegal activity, including torture, and how many have been criminally prosecuted so far?

Make a Note: If you do not hold former Administrations responsible for their illegal conduct that violates the Constitution, you will see them come to power again and repeat their deeds with even more impunity.

Healthcare reform is important... but if the Bush Administration had been fully investigated and the wrongdoers fully exposed, the public wouldn't be giving the Republicans the time of day regardless of the millions $$$ contributed to them by the Healthcare Insurers and Providers.

This idea that Republicans are being invited to the table to negotiate a 'bi-partisan' bill has served to legitimize a criminal enterprise, and everyone KNOWS Repubs have no intention of negotiation in good faith --they intend to make sure efforts to reform healthcare fail EXCEPT for requiring ALL AMERICANS to purchase private insurance policies.

Forget Bipartisanship, act in the best interests of the People as Statesmen, do the right thing and let the chips fall where they may ....

.... or watch the Republican process continue, RINSE and REPEAT...

3. I've only been saying this since the primaries...
If you don't wipe the elephant shit off your shoes, you're going to stink like elephant shit no matter HOW far you walk away from where you stepped in it.

4. To let Repub Criminal Behavior Go Unpunished Destroys Dems' Own Credibility...
If we see a crime committed by Repubs that violates the Constitution and Laws of this Country, and Dems choose to do nothing about it, there has to be a a question in the minds of the American People as to whom they can give their trust.

It is a matter of credibility ....

Repubs have been and continue to be deceptive, deceitful and willing to break any law and trample the Constitution to enrich their rich friends and grab political power which makes it all possible.

Once we start holding Repubs to account and exposing the truth we won't have a problem with public opinion polls.
