Hey, You know, WE ALL FORGOT THE MOST IMPORTANT
FACT. Pres. Obama is a Pragmatist.

Tonight, as I was cleaning the kitchen, out of the blue,
I remember immediately following the swearing in someone
of the cable channels ran a feature on the new President.

It was pointed out in the piece that he is a Pragmatist.

Since I am a left leaner and so caught up in the Health
Insurance Issue that fact had slipped my mind.

I think most of us understood Obama was not a Liberal.
McCaskill did so much TV etc on his behalf during the Campaign.

I know for myself I would find myself this week thinking
How could He????

A Pragmatist looks for what works. His concern is not
left or right but more with what will pass. I am sure he
meant it when he said he wanted Public Option.

For a person like me, banning the public option makes
it a Republican Bill. The CO-OPs even more Republican.
My Logic. The Republicans put us in the ditch--how can
we accept more Republicanism.

A Pragmatist is not concerned with Right or Left.
They are concerned with Legislation that works.

In his statements he always says: Costs must be lowered.
Single Payer and Public Option are really the only two
which will lower costs.

My point is this, We must remember who our President
is and make our arguments thus. I now understand
when Krugman says the Administration does not get why
the Progressives have their back up. Obama has not beem
thinking in terms of left or right. Mr President, your
base is Left. Psst. (The GOP can be disingeous at times,
so watch it)

1. "They are concerned with legislation that works."
Works to do what?

Works to serve whom?

Works for whom?

How about Medicare for everyone? What's not pragmatic about that?
