I just have to get this off my chest

These blue dog democrats, who only got elected by changing to dems knowing they could win on the anti war platform, are now screwing any chance we have to fix this health care crisis. Obama needs to use his considerable skills and tell these obstructionists that they were elected to get Obama's agenda done. I am tired of hearing about bi-partisanship. Don't the dems remember how the repugs trated us when they had the majority. It is time to stop playing nice. Too many people are sick and dying because they can't afford to go to the Dr.
My grandfather was a small town Dr. from the 40's through the 70's and never had to deal with this BS. He was paid in chickens or sometimes never charged at all. Yet he made a very comfortable living, he retired because the insurance companies started to tell him how to treat his patients. How is it that back then health care was affordable to all. Now these repugs don't realize that we end up paying for the uninsured whether they know it or not. Who do they think foots the bill when an uninsured person goes to the ER? We do. Now if preventive care were available we would save billions. But these narrow minded bigots that call themselves republicans cannot stand the idea of treating the uninsured. My mother asked me the other day how I felt about providing health care to illegal immigrants. I said what is the difference between that and building a hospital that we blew up in Iraq, and treating Iraqi citizens that need health care. I think I heard her head implode, her answer was that is comparing apples to oranges. I guess she needs to wait and see what Beck, Hannity, O'reilly, and Rush had to say before she could formulate an answer. The right wing is getting very frightening. Rant off.

If anything, Obama seems to be bending over backwards to please the GOP and the so-called Blue Dogs. And yet he still gets branded a "socialist" and the calls for open revolution go out by the crazies.

And props to your granddad. I remember a fine man coming to our house to check all 5 of us kids out.
