9. I posted the link below -- Maybe Welch just wasn't on the list DFA was getting
these names from  The important thing is that you know how Welch stands -- that's more important than a name on the list.

6. Here's the link -- it's Democracy for America and I got it in an e-mail.
It's entirely possible that just because a rep's name isn't on it doesn't mean that s/he isn't actually a proponent. I hope. Notice the video clips on the side of the page -- I liked listening to what some individuals had to actually say right from the horse's mouth.

8. A public option would end the multi-billion dollar choke hold the insurance
companies have on our health care system. They are not about to lose this choke hold. They are spending 2 million a day to fight this reform issue because they will not give up on an industry where their CEO's and other execs are earning millions in salaries and even more in bonuses..If anyone thinks for a second that we can have a system where we no longer need health insurance companies than think again and that is what the public option would give us ...Think about it...A multi- billion dollar industry that would be dissolved almost overnight..It is not gonna happen..They own two many politicians with Democrats included...

10. HR 676 has 93 co-sponsors.
Plus it has the advantage of actually providing health care for everybody and doesn't require us to bankrupt ourselves to make billionaires richer...

15. HR 676 is the best plan.
It goes to a vote on the House floor friday, and I have asked DeFazio to support it.
But if it passes the House it still has to pass the Senate. The chance that it passes both houses of Congress are extremely slim, but if it does, I'm sure Obama would sign it.

We need to keep talking about it and urging our reps to support it.

Meanwhile we must also support the compromise legislation as long as it contains a strong public option.

13. My email to my "Progressive" Congressman, John Hall NY-19 who has not committed
with either a Single Payer or Public Option.

Please follow the heroic Rep. Anthony Weiner and support Medicare for all. A Public Option is a compromise that I don't agree with but will accept. Without even a public option, there is no reform only a honey pot for insurance companies and insurance companies.
America voted for real change in 2008 and part of that change was REAL Health Care Reform.
I have supported you in the past but see that you are uncommitted and I'm very disappointed that keeping your seat seems to be more important than the Progressive values I thought you supported.
Sincerely
