Is the real reason for banning "radio" talk hosts from CNN the rise
of progressive radio hosts?

Should CNN & Fox be required to register as lobbyists for the insurance industry? They certainly care enough water for them, and profit from payments to the cable networks.

Where are the faces of those that have been screwed by the insurance industry? Why is there no "faces" on the cable network? The only "faces" we see are Joe the Strap-On & Joe the Teabagger?

Just a few questions I have about the "wealthcare" debate.

Do you have any?

1. In response to your first question
I think the fact that "progressive" radio hosts always embarrass the wing nut radio squawkers they appear with (as well as the spineless RW sympathizer "hosts") is exactly why they are proposing to stop the practice.

3. But do you have any questions about the one-sided coverage, pro
insurance companies, that cable news is airing?

2. You'd think "fair and balanced" reporting right now would have lots of
insurance FAILURE stories on the air, wouldn't you?

But...crickets...nothing...nada.

I guess there really aren't ANY Americans who aren't happy with their insurance.

4. They've been keeping the truth out of their propaganda for a long time
and the radio host guests were upsetting that. You can't make people question "The Big Lie" with some twit who exposes it for what it is.

5. But, watching the debate, you realize it is one-sided. What disturbs
you most about cable coverage? What do you notice is missing?

(I'm trying to put together a list.)

6. What's missing is real journalism, asking the hard questions of guests
and making them back up their statements. Watch Amy Goodman on "Democracy Now!" or "Bill Moyers Journal" and see how they get their guests to be honest by their questions and follow up questions. Then go watch FOX News or CNN all day or MSNBC in the morning. Fortunately MSNBC in the evening allows Ed Schultz, Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow present a different POV, which is known as the truth, because those TV hosts research what they say first. Yet, at times they get it wrong, but at least they correct the error with a follow up of setting the record straight, something you will never see on the other cable channels.

7. Journalism

Journalists actually reading all the bills, researching the claims, actually educating the public on what is going on is what's missing.

Instead all we get is folks like Hannity on the Right, Maddow on the left, like a couple of fighting kids in the back seat arguing over who touched who first...

One of these days we're going to have to pull this car over.....

It's getting a little better now that the sensationalism of the town halls is cooling off a bit, we'll see.
