:wtf:

Tried to post a double sticky.
Clearly, that was way over my head!
So now they appear sandwiching a war criminal sticky!
Doesn't appear to be changeable.

So....Sorry, to Softs fans everywhere!:dunce:

Download or buy CD of Soft Machine's third album - called Third - and marvel at an entirely new type of music created by them from about '69 to '72.
By their fifth album - called Fifth - they were morphing into a much less inspired Jazz/Funk thing.

But their 2nd album - called Vloume 2 - and Third and Fourth all feature their entirely unique form of music - a soothing/harsh, beautiful/ragged totally inspired hybrid I might call "Santana meets Aphex Twin at the Caroll King concert... with special guest influences: Terry Riley and John Coltrane".

Brilliant!

8. My CD shelf is full
Which CDs in my current collection should I get rid of to make room for some Soft Machine CDs?

4. Yes. But........
There is something from all versions of Soft Machine there. Their "Hippie Psych" beginnings to their dreary Jazz/Funk endings.

Go straight to this vid to hear them at their very best (IMHO): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9Io9leGqIg

7. I'll take "Sentences never before spoken in English" for $500, Alex!
Maybe Kevin Ayers could get a song out of it. :D
