Calif. Guard To Name 1st Female General
Miller Has Served 30 Years

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Col. Charlotte L. Miller will be promoted to the rank of brigadier general today, making her the California Army National Guard's first female general.

During her 30 years of military service, Miller has commanded several California National Guard units, including the 349th Quartermaster Supply Company in Benicia, the 340th Forward Support Battalion in San Lorenzo and Accession Task Force (Recruiting and Retention Command).
