My fear is health care reform will pass, and I won't be able to notice the difference
I hope more people will be insured and that America will be more competitive on the global market.

However, I fear that reform will be passed, and I won't be able to notice the difference. I am currently "under insured". I have health care insurance, but I cannot afford to utilize it. I pay too much in co-pays, deductibles, and fees.

My fear is that reform will pass, and I won't be able to tell the difference.

3. I'll support whatever Obama ends up doing
If he thinks we can get real reform = cool!
If he wants to bail, then so be it. Ya can't beat the corporations and we all might as well accept that. It makes me sad.

4. thanks kali
I would actually prefer that true reform take place (millions of uninsured covered, America on better footing to compete globally) and not be able to notice cause my situation didn't change. I'd be willing to deal with that. I'd support Obama if he could get that done.

But I would want some relief, if possible.

6. The difference will be that......
we'll never again have a chance at actual healthcare reform. We'll have already "shot our wad" and accomplished nothing (or less than nothing).

8. My fear is that the "reform" will do more harm than good,
That corporations will get more money and we'll get less care.

9. I will support Obama
Paul Krugman showed how the Swiss have universal coverage without a public option. However, the insurers are tightly regulated. The health insurers who are enrolled in the insurance exchange should also be regulated. At a minimum, they should be required to provide the same level of coverage as the health insurers who are on the Federal Health Benefit Plan. This would include reasonable co-pays, maximum out-of-pocket expenses in any calendar year, all preventive care, etc. At a later date, we could add a public option, perhaps allowing anyone to buy into the Medicare program. I believe that of the 1,300 companies that provide health insurance, the majority would be unable to compete, and drop out.
