So, did I miss this, there was no mistranslation in the SoS "Husband" question last week

KORNBLUT: e reported out that there was no mistranslation. That she was asked about her husband. The reporters who were there said it was very hot. She was very tired. So maybe her demeanor is not the one she would have wanted, but that the underlining sentiment that she's the secretary of state is one that she intended to convey, especially in a region of the world that is so male dominated.

She answered the question that was asked of her (via the interpreter) and I think she was dead on.

The fact is most people fall into one of two groups:

1) Those who praise HRC for standing up and telling this guy off.

and

2) Those who think her comments were not diplomatic and feel that no matter how annoying the question was, she would have been off to not respond as she did. I think that the point that she was SoS could have been made - after answering what the Obama administration position was (calling it that) and then defining her position as SoS.

It is highly unlikely that anyone from either group will be moved to the other.

5. One of the NYT articles pointed out that various reporters there who

knew French, the language it was asked in, said there was no misinterpretation. This also is an unlikely translation error in any language because the error was supposedly "Clinton" instead of "Obama"

6. There was NO "mistranslation" and iirc the opinion of some sports figure

in her entourage was also sought. Amis be so isolated sometimes. Mz. SoS was ALREADY so tired of that shit from her travels, up close and personal with some SERIOUSLY NASTY SHIT... Then along comes some snot-nosed kid raising his peenie up the flagpole and girlfriend takes a hatchet to it. On THIS SIDE OF THE POND, there were HOWLS and SCREAMS of approval! :rofl::rofl::rofl: Y'all go on ahead and denigrate your SoS for not living up to your naive and absolute standards. There are many who think girlfriend was PERFECT!!!
