Robert Novak Dead. Market For Dark 3-Piece Suits Collapses
Edited on Tue Aug-18-09 03:57 PM by stopbush
That's what I heard on CNN...

Honestly, the guy continued to wear 3-piece suits long after the rest of the country knew he was lying about outing Plame.

1. My favorite Bob Novak memory

I can't believe I said that, but I will always remember the amazing Crossfire episode with Frank Zappa! There was another right winger on there that made Novak look like a puppy!

Edit to add: Zappa was wearing a dark 3-piece, looking SO conservative.

5. For all the bad that came out of Novack's mouth
He was an interesting guy and a fun adversary most of the time. It's sad to lose him. The other one that people love to hate, but love to watch is Buchanan. People here can't stand him and want to hear everything he says.

6. I know. My husband loved to mock him.
And there was nothing more entertaining than watching Zappa kick his ass. It's a hilarious episode -- the topic is about whether or not MTV is going to corrupt the yutes (1986), and the horrible, awful, offensive video was Van Halen's "Hot for Teacher."

Those were the days.

7. A friend of mine once referred to Ronald Regan as
"the only man in America who owns two brown suits."

With Novak, it was the vest that said it all. I think he envisioned himself as Alastair Sim in the "Scrooge" movie, especially the scene where he and Marley buy out the company after Mr Jorkin has embezzled away the funds.

9. From what I read
He was the first to name the cia agent, why wasn't he arrested for treason?

Can you imagine what would of happened to Michael Moore if he had of named a cia agent who was pro bush?

The death penalty?
