Wow. A neocon who supports the NHS!

As one might expect, it's through personal experience of it's workings:

"In the wake of the public outcry in the United States that has seen the conservative pundit Rush Limbaugh apparently compare universal health care to some sort of neo-Nazi Reich I thought I would recount a story from earlier this year. Let me make my political leanings clear from the outset: I am a neocon. Having supported the Cheney-Rumsfeld-Bush triumvirate and their Iraq and Afghanistan interventions I have duly enraged thousands who listen to me on the BBC and watch me on Sky and Press TV. Notwithstanding this my views on universal health care are strictly Socialist..."

Interesting to note that the bills for her friend in the States would surely have cost $1mil in the States, in her estimation...

1. At least she is an independent thinker.
I have a lot more respect for someone, whatever their views, who didn't swallow a package deal.

'Oh, I'm a Republican, therefore I must believe in x,y and z. I don't know why and I can't really argue the points, but I sure can yell and scream.'

3. In some ways it's a bit scary.

If she manages reasonable ideas about healthcare, why not Iraq and Afghanistan?

Well, I'm being churlish I suppose, at least she got something right.
