Why is You Tube taking down Rachel Maddow's Rips on the..
Astroturf losers, and their connections with Freedomworks, etc (Rich Right Wing PR outfits)? I've watched two disappear in the last couple hours. They were the greatest breakdowns of whose fooling who I've ever seen.
Watched them just two hours ago, then tried to embed them a few minutes ago. Now getting "Video removed due to violations in..yada yada yada"
Sux. Great journalism being swept under the rug.

1. MSNBC has probably made a copyright ifringement claim
Seems lots of news outlets are doing that lately... You should still be able to find them on the MSNBC site.

3. If That's The Case
Then they'll get it sooner or later.

There's no way they can stop all the posting.

The Internet is getting bigger and free-er.

2. Great journalists need to get paid
Which won't happen if you can watch all their work on Youtube

6. It's on msnbc
You can watch her whole show there, and see it split up into segments for you to use as a link. Their site is really nice. I like it a lot. Great for those of us working overtime who can't see it at normal time. I also like Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert's sites. Their stuff gets taken off you tube, but it's really easy to watch on their sites. I watch Jon Stewart there all the time...since he's on at the same time as Rachel and it's impossible to choose. Now for some reason I really want a Blackberry.....
:)

5. Free is not a business model.
And, true, putting up authorized clips would likely increase profitability down the road...

7. I think it's shortsighted of MSNBC.
They should think of it as great free advertising. After all, who gets the most hits, You Tube or MSNBC? Sounds like a no-brainer to me.

8. Rachel and Keith are available as free downloadable podcasts...
...directly from MSNBC.com or you can subscribe on iTunes.

The entire episodes show up about an hour after broadcast without commercials.
