Imus isn’t the real bad guy
Thank you, Don Imus. You’ve given us (black people) an excuse to avoid our real problem.

You’ve given Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson another opportunity to pretend that the old fight, which is now the safe and lucrative fight, is still the most important fight in our push for true economic and social equality.

You’ve given Vivian Stringer and Rutgers the chance to hold a nationally televised recruiting celebration expertly disguised as a news conference to respond to your poor attempt at humor.

1. The whole issue is totally overblown
Its a waste of tv news time. It's just another excuse not to report the real news.

6.  Is the columnist a black woman? A Rutgers player? Are you?

Once again, forgiveness (or not) belongs to the injured. Bystanders should not presume they have it.

3. We will soon see a made for tv movie on the Rutger's team
right after their appearance on Oprah today, too. Sharpton and Jackson get richer on the backs of African Americans. NBC ratings shoot through the roof. You are right. Imus is not the real bad guy. Oh and absolutely nothing will change regarding racism.
