1. I didn't post it, but here's the translation
"Better to die on your feet than live on your knees"

:silly:

On edit: I've seen it as a sig line on Trek message boards. I'm a Trekkie, but I don't speak Klingon. :-)

I agree ... dealing with the jerks got very tiring. :-(

I recognized the Klingon phrase because I looked it up ages ago when I noticed it in various sig lines. Was able to recall it now because ... well, it's kind of hard to forget something that ends with the word "pus" :D

9. There is an interesting point to that comment.
If you support 1% believe in dictators and tyranny, if you like it when people suffer.

You could use that phrase.

If you believe in democracy, want better things for more people, and care about reducing suffering.

You could use that phrase.

That phrase is morally neutral, it is an amplifier. It has no claim that what someone should fight for should also be right. That is why it fits into Klingon lexicon, since the fight becomes more important then what someone fights for.

It points out how people can think the game is important and actually not worry about how they fight it. It is like the old show crossfire, where both sides would argue knowing they were both spinning with untruths, it was all about winning the argument not deciding if what they fight for is right. Nor was it about being honest in their statements.

I like Gandhi's statement better, I would die for a cause, but their is no cause I would kill for. Gandhi understands how a person fights is more important.

6. Sounds like the Klingons read Zapata!
And I thought they only appreciated Shakespeare and Hamlet! LOL
