What is "gang related dressing"? That can be just about anything. The yakuza often dress in
business suits.

5. As a friend reminded me a few years back, malls are private property
and you can be kicked out for whatever reason the owners choose.

Now, that being said, I wonder if the kid with the chain would have been detained by security if his name was "Joe Smith" and traced his lineage back to the Mayflower and had a NASCAR shirt on ... as it was, his name was "Fernando" (oddly enough, that name invokes the image of ABBA, some of the whitest people I've seen this side of David Bowie) ...

6. Last year, the CA Supreme Court ruled that for the purposes
of free speech (demonstrations), malls were the public square. So, it really isn't as cut and dried as that.
