Watching Cspan
Edited on Thu Aug-20-09 09:25 AM by abluelady
Gene Taylor-D, Mississippi, is doing a town hall. Lots of people yelling, but he's going on and doing a good job. He just spoke about what happened after Katrina--the insurance companies WOULDN'T PAY. The Govenment programs paid. Wow, did that shut up that crowd. He sure knows what he's doing so far. Forgot to say I don't agree with Taylor's positions, but do think every rep should start a meeting with how insurance companies have failed us.

Also voted against cap in trade.

Is this guy a Democrat or not? He sounds like a loser to me.

6. Framing the bill as INSURANCE reform builds support in "blue dog" districts
I want one payer -- but incremental progress is progress.

What is needed is for constituents in blue dog districts to CALL CONGRESS, demand REFORM, support ONE-PAYER, and say PUBLIC OPTION is a good start but more is needed.

... and NO INSURANCE RACKET BAILOUT!

7. His positions on the issues are very frustrating
to me. He runs around calling himself a Democrat, but he sticks his blue dog ass in the air when it's voting time. I told a friend of mine (a Republican) the other day that I had voted my last time for Gene Taylor. My friend said he would still vote for him. Makes sense.
