Every Cable Channel was "FOX " at 7 am

I live in California but at 7 am Eastern, I turned on CNN.

We are talking about PRIME TIME.

CNN was doing two good stories but the nice lady with the gravel voice wasn't working for me. So that means that she was not one of their strong anchors.

I kept flipping back and forth to the other Cable Channels -- all of them were way in the pocket of the Republicans.

It was amazing -- Pat Buchanan on MSNBC, some idiot on Fox talking about CASH FOR CLUCKERS was the worst thing in the world, not helping anybody.

CSPAN had some wimp lady watering down her answers to fit the comments of the callers -- all favoring the Republican nonsense.

I know what you'll say --- just don't watch.

The problem is, I believe this is done intentionally.

I don't think it is a coincidence that at least 6 Cable News Channels are talking the FOX stuff at the same Prime Time.

3. At this point in our history US media is not newsworthy.
We need a another Ted Turner to start from scratch and build an organization that reports the facts.

Faux news has ushered in the failure of news in America.

My grandkids once teased me about having the CNN icon "burned" on my tv screen due to my always having the tv set to CNN. It took me way too long to realize there had been a big change in ownership and how the dollar was influencing their news more than the news. Yup, Ted was unusual and brilliant and I aways believed that he believed in his product. Did he get too old to fight that huge media battle? I wondered....

P.S.: One only needs to understand media ownership to see which way politics lean when they pick and choose the news and videos they want to repeat daily to influence their audience. Why are there the same old health care protestors being shown many times. They did show the idiots armed for war in Afghanistan at the local meetings, give points for that.

7. I think he may have been too trusting and got pushed out
by the very people that he created. You are right CNN used to have credibility they are at the level of Faux entertainment news.

9. So now MSNBC has taken the place of CNN
Not that they don't have their idiots like Buchanan, etc., but they do allow Keith and Rachell to do their thing, or so it seems. Hey, I enjoy a good back and forth between both sides as long as it's not a shout out.

12. You are so right ~ the day when you believed what you were seeing
Is gone - long gone.

Of course we knew that it may not all be true but now the so labeled "liberal press" is no more.

One thing Rethugs do very well, they give labels that stick.

Note -- everyone knows that Obama was born in Hawaii and the media had days and days of the question mark on that and will still beat that horse, still try to put it up for discussion.

8. I have come to believe that it is not so much
that the anchors or the writers or whatever are covert republican talking heads, maybe they are or maybe they aren't, but what I really believe is that the owners of the stations, themselves, are repubs, randians, and extremely anti progressive liberals. The news slants so much to the right, all the time, on all channels, as is to be a joke.

10. Prime time or primetime is the block of programming
on television during the middle of the evening. The term prime time is often defined in terms of a fixed time period,
for example, from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

14. Thanks for the info ~ I bet they also know
that 7 AM a lot of people have the TV on but not sitting down to watch with the family.

For sure, people tend to turn on the TV to hear the weather and welcome the day.

16. Why any enlightened person would watch network or cable news is beyond me. Now if
you were just surfing to see how pervasive the propaganda is, I can understand that.

The corporate media have been tagged and bagged by the PTB for well over 60 years. The Nazis pioneered in the use of media propaganda to sway the masses. We captured some of their most "talented" propagandists and immediately put them to work "shoring up democracy". The advent of teevee was the last nail in the coffin.
