There's a BIIIIIIIG difference.
Health insurance reform sounds like another handout to corporations.

23. That's exactly what it's going to be
nothing in the bills really being pushed in Congress guarantee access to care only access to insurance and that insurance will still have some pretty large out of pocket expenses (depending on income) that will still keep people from getting care.

26. Many of us seasoned, veteran volunteers know that this is more like a career, and not
just win the election, or lose the election.
Some of us have been in this fight for 30, 40, 50, 60, or more years. We know we have to be vigilant even when one of our guys get in.

Let's see if Obama calls it insurance reform or care reform. That will tell me which direction this fight should go.

37. Try to give bullet points
if you like your doc, you can keep doc

if you like your health ins plan, you can keep it

if you do not have health ins, we intend to provide affordable option - a menu of options and help to make premiums more affordable

One of the options is a public option - been a lot of confusion about this - market place where people can select ins plan that works best for them. If a public option is in there, keeps ins cos honest, it means that not only do ins cos have to abide by regs but they have to compete with insuring that Am people get decent health care

We want to make sure ins cos can't prevent you from getting ins because of pre-existing conditions

no life time caps

Keep ins if you get sick, lose your job or change jobs

bring down sky rocketing costs

We want to make Medicare more efficient - get rid of donut hole in prescription drug plan

a disinterested third party who can validate what is true and what is untrue because they're not bound by ideology.

The term "disinterested third party" is used in human services and counseling situations to indicate someone who can listen to two sides who are at odds with each other.

I personally am not thrilled about that statement, since I believe that just about every single Republican idea has been about watering down the legislation.

86. Private Insurance is the 'Belt' and PO is the 'Suspenders' holding
up your pants" WTF? Could it be more convoluted and obscure?

92. He actually said Insurance reforms are the belt and the PO is the suspenders
meaning that both were different ways of approaching the same problem - keeping the pants up (Reform in general)

I thought the questioner was looking for an affirmation about the public option and I don't think he (or I) got that.

90. Last question
large number of young adults wondering where they fall in health reform plan - how does your plan account for these young people?

We've proposed to extend number of years these folks can stay on their health plan...

91. good explaination of how preventive care, healthy eating and exersize
will help loweer health care costs. childhood obesity rates less active lifestyles. programs need to be required to include prevention, and wellness. poor school lunches/distribution/ suggests local farmers to distribute healthy food to schools.j

glad to hear this as part of Health care reform.

101. Had your back :). I thought he did a good job clarifying....
what he meant about the public option just being a part among many aspects of health reform, and reinforced his support. It's good that he also dispelled myths, and talked a lot about cost containment, and how the reforms would be paid for. First time i've heard requirements for insurers to promote prevention and wellness, and we need to promote healthy eating and exercise. In other forums he's also promoted best practices of delivery- mayo/cleveland clinic models for cost control. When he and the media focuses too much on the "public option" then the RW just thinks it's a big expensive government takeover that THEY personally are going to have to pay for.
