Since all the cons care about is their immediate family (e.g., anti-gay Darth getting all upset when his daughter was mentioned - not attacked), I think the familiies are fair game. They certainly should not be shielded from the fallout of their relative's crimes.

Whatever the young Ted did or didn't do (and the Freepers will remind us, no doubt), what he did after he got to the Senate was downright decent. He acted as a model Senator through all the years when the other side didn't. He thought of the plight of others less fortunate than himself. He's still, in his last days, looking out for his constituents. He appears to have empathy, and compassion, and understanding.

Bob Novak, on the other hand, was a callous, selfish sonofabitch to the day he died. He fought every day to keep the bad things the way they are and to keep good things from happening, and he did it using rhetoric, sophistry, deception, denial, treason, and every other evil trick in the book, which he wrote. Someday his writings will be found alongside the other a-holes we never read or think about anymore, the dinosaurs who were willing to sacrifice the present and the future in the quest for a return to an idealized past which they made up themselves.

If we can't point our fingers straight at evil and call it what it is, we are certain to see more of it. But that's just my opinion.

Some on the far right will convince themselves there are legit reasons for wanting to dance on Ted Kennedy's grave after he passes on. There isn't any difference between the scumbags on the right and left.
