Am I missing something?

JULY 14, 2009 : -Republican members of the Senate Banking Committee blasted the Obama administration's proposed Consumer Financial Protection Agency on Tuesday, saying it would stifle innovation and restrict consumer choice.

April 28, 2006 : ACU Supports House Move toward Consumer Choice :The COPE Act would finally bring meaningful competition to the cable market by eliminating the archaic local video franchise regulations which have insulated incumbent providers from the realties of a free market for decades. These local franchise regulations have preserved a monopoly business model that has behaved in the classic monopoly manner, exploiting captive consumers with unconscionably inflated prices and indifferent service.

I can pull up dozens of cases where "Consumer Choice", and competition was vigorously defended by the Pukes. Why dont they want to have Public Option? After all in the short run - you will have extra choice - before we have an obvious winner. I guess they are FOR consumer choice except when they are against it.

But let's cut to the chase.

Only in America - you have RIGHT to happiness - which conveniently translates to making PROFITS - but not for medical care when you are in pain-

I guess n AMERICA being cured of a disease does not make one happy - making $1000,000. in bonuses does.

You have cancer and can't get treatment? Hey - No Problem - You can go out and start a business - and make millions - and THEN you can have all healthcare you want. Till then - ENJOY the RIGHT to make millions.

When did we become a nation of jerks? I cant believe how perverted our collective wisdom has become.
