I was so proud of my boss at my new job today..he dressed down my wing-nut coworker over health care

reform today.

It's actually very weird, I've never actually worked for a liberal in real life before - my bosses have always been conservatives outside of the world of politics.

I'M LOVING WORKING HERE!

3. My coworker tried to explain how dangerous "Obamacare" was

and my boss explained to him how totally unfair and screwed up private insurance is (he's had a heart attack and speaks from experience) and how much better gov't system is. I didn't even have to say a thing and I'm normally known as "Mr. Democrat" in the defense type companies I've worked in in the past - It's weird to be able to sit back and watch someone else do it for me - but really really cool - especially when it's your boss doing it.

It turns out that in my department libs outnumber conservatives 3 to 2 and the boss makes #3.

5. My RW moderate boss...

Put the smackdown on the RW uber beast in the office, telling him to stop with the Obama bashing as there are many Obama supporters here. He didn't even single out an issue, just put the kibosh on the whole hate deal!

It smells better in here already:)

10. That is so cool!

I have to watch myself because the whole co-op gang is Liberal and pro Obama but some of our customers aren't(the county went 55% for mcpalin) so we have to be respectful and not talk about how freakin happy we are with him around THEM.

Not that that stops them..we had a customer in a couple of months ago who was spewing lies about Pres Obama and touting ron paul..all I did was stick up for the Pres with facts but she was getting all personal on his supporters..and I just kept saying "Love President Obama" with a smile on my face.

She didn't come in for the last two months but she was in last night and sweet as pie and so was I.:)

7. I can't imagine business other than insurance

being against single-payer. You would think every business out there would be rallying to the chance to shed benefit costs, but business has been peculiarly silent in the fight.
