For Ted...
As has been noted earlier today, Ted Kennedy has requested that Massachusetts law be amended to provide for an interim appointment to his seat in the event that he is no longer able to perform his duties. Please show your support at the Boston Globe poll here:

1. .
Senator Kennedy has asked the state to name an interim successor for his seat, if it becomes vacant. The successor would serve for the five-month period before an election is held. Do you agree or disagree?

Yes. Massachusetts should not go without two senators, even if it's for only a few months.

2. Teddy's breaking my heart.............
He's facing the inevitable, and still has the determination and the courage to make sure his Democratic party is taken care of.

This man is making me cry. I don't want anything to happen to him.

I'm being selfish - I do not want to bear witness to the loss of the last Kennedy brother.......................

3. One would think that if they had wanted an interim senator, that should
have been written into the change made in 2004.

4. Unfortunately, Mitt the twit was running the show back then.

I know that in a perfect world that shouldn't make any difference, but considering the disaster that he was, the double standard is at least understandable, if not defensible.

5. I hope he makes it to see it passed into law.
He's worked tirelessly on this for almost 40 years. I pray he lives to see his labor come to fruition.
