If Dems were more like Repigs.
I'm fully aware of the discussions here on how it would be bad for President Obama to govern like W. and I agree that he needn't lie like the Boy King, but a little more muscle would be nice. For the longest time we were told we need a veto-proof majority in the Senate to finally make real change. Gesagt, getan - we delivered on that in 2008. I sometimes wouldn't be surprised if Reid came out and said we need 98 seats in the Senate to finally make real change. The Repigs are part of a dying breed. They represent less than a third of the populace, and we do not need them! I hate the fact that the Dems removed end of life counseling from the bill because the Pigs were frothing. The 'death panel' argument was a lie and they gave it legitimacy by playing along; not to mention that the Pigs had the exact same wording in 2003. Now, I suspect many people will suffer for it. WTF?

Some here will take offense at Tom Tomorrow's take, but I found it humourous. Repigs play to win. Dems try to make everyone happy, even if that entails sacrificing core values.

More Tom Tomorrow here.
