and while these gals are very professional, I am always amazed at how obvious the class conflict is. I know, many of their customers are not exactly the best doing and for some reason these programs never show the white collar criminals. But you can learn quite a bit about the society we live in.
I must say though, the Rape Detective is pretty good, and actually tries to get close to their victims and get justice. She is good.
But yes, some of the contacts and some of the houses show an uglier side of the US, ome that exists (everywhere by the way), but you can learn a lot about our actual values as to how we chose to deal with this.
Just an observation, and now to go look for something else.
Oh and before you say it, they are actually trying to show how hard police work is, and the many layers to it, and not glorify anybody. If you are thinking of law enforcement, this show is far more accurate than... oh COPS... though it can never be accurate. After all they show the "good calls." As we used to joke at the station, there is one "good call" for every 100 routine ones... and the cops used to say the same... oh and plenty of tree killing (forms)
