"Tunisian 12-baby pregnancy claim pronounced false"
TUNIS, Tunisia — A Tunisian health official says a woman who claimed she was pregnant with 12 babies underwent a medical examination that showed she is not pregnant.

The official says the 30-year-old teacher from central Tunisia had agreed to the ultrasound exam after initially refusing.

Doctors concluded she is experiencing a mental condition called a "phantom pregnancy" by which women can believe they are pregnant and develop some symptoms.

1. It sounded a bit fishy from the get-go.
I had a "phantom pregnancy" years ago, so that part is legit. How she came up with 12 fetuses is beyond me.

2. Phew. Very relieved,
I am sorry that she has this mental health problem, but better than the extreme danger to herself and babies if it had turned out to be true.
