The insurance industry as a whole denied more than 35% of claims and slow paid more than half of all claims combined in 2006-2007.

But even worse than that:

Since 2001, as many as 165,000 Americans have died because they had no access to health insurance.

2. Imagine if the US invaded Iraq in 2001 and has lost 165,000 soldiers by 2009 due to the war.

There would be mass protests like the 1960s all over again. Nobody would want their sons and daughters drafted to fight a war with poorly defined goals and no definable ending.
