It really does serve to keep you in poverty, never quite enough to catch up. Occasionally I have opportunity to make a few bucks, nothing large or steady but I could buy that muffler the truck needs or the rear tires...
I am supposed to report every dollar I get aside from my social sec disability..which they then deduct 1$ for every 2$. My ssd is 850$/mo, my meds are 2500$/mo, dr another 1000$+ , my share of the house hold bills is about 825$ sometimes there is something extra needed, like just about every month we will need a car repair or appliance repair, replace worn out stuff.we try to save for these things, I have copays for dr and some meds. We don't buy things just to consume, my partner has a couple credit cards he rarely uses for fear that if something should happen then we couldn't pay it off. Car and house payment and regular utility bills. I know how lucky we are I have been homeless 3x, it is amazing how fast you can find yourself unemployed, homeless and with no health insurance=no medical care.
The company you work for downsizes, outsources, goes bankrupt or the owner dies without having made any plan, the building burns down or your house..been there too. You get sick , then get fired because you aren't at work and of course you don't have six months worth of $ saved up to pay all the bills, because face it who making minimum or even double minimum wage really has left over cash?
The way Americans are screaming names at dems are disgusting a lot of these folks are the 'values voters' and 'kreestians' are so selfishly self centered spoiled like children. Im amazed and ashamed for them. Whining we don't want to pay taxes, we don't want to put back or pay forward, we just want whats ours And whats yours too.
