Media reports indicate FOX News personality Glenn Beck is taking an apparently unscheduled, forced vacation in light of recent reactions to his controversial performance. Beck is under fire for numerous gaffs and blunders. Perhaps his biggest faux pas was calling President Barack Obama “a racist,” and claiming the president “has a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture.” Beck made the comments on the “Fox and Friends” program on July 28.

Indeed, because of Beck's erratic, controversial, and often erroneous reporting, advertisers have been refusing to sponsor or be associated with Beck. Many consider Beck to be part of a larger problem at Fox News. Clearly Beck is guilty of projecting his prejudices and racism on to President Obama. Yet the fact is, not only Beck, but Fox News as a whole, appeals to racist people.

So this idiot doesn't waste any more airwave space than he already has.

Sadly he'll probably be back. Now would be the time to put pressure on his remaining advertisers. Fourth quarter advertising buys are being made and planned for now. We get enough advertisers to drop him by the middle of September and he's done.
