Jaw-dropping insanity. You must hear this to believe it.
http://www.rightwingwatch.org/content/god-commands-you-kill-gays

Listen to the audio transcribed here:

"You want to know who the biggest hypocrite in the world is? The biggest hypocrite in the world is the person who believes in the death penalty for murderers and not for homosexuals. Hypocrite. The same God who instituted the death penalty for murderers is the same God who instituted the death penalty for rapists and for homosexuals - sodomites, queers! That's what it was instituted for, okay? That's God, he hasn't changed. Oh, God doesn't feel that way in the New Testament ... God never "felt" anything about it, he commanded it and said they should be taken out and killed."

11. he doesn't have to. did you ever notice how much the 'christians' have to
keep reminding us they are christians..... there is a reason for that. people who ACT and BEHAVE in a christian manner, ie: treating others with respect and decency, don't have to tell people what they are.... their actions say enough.

13. The liberal United Church of Christ say God is still speaking to them.
That's the denomination Obama attended in Chicago.

3. God also sent some stone tablets saying "Thalt shalt not kill".
Then again, I am pro death penalty for certain cases (including rapists, ironically), but homosexuals - consenting adults - are nowhere near in the same league as murderers or rapists; I can't see the association. Mostly because there is NONE to begin with.

But it's not shocking to hear rationalizing or even extremes from the polar opposite of the spectrum like that twit... shouldn't they be satisfied by scapegoating AIDS, like how they usually do?

I'd love to read the precise quotes in the Bible... pity that tightie-not-rightie moron didn't bother to include them...

7. i wasn't aware god instituted the death penalty. hmm... as far as i am aware,
god said judge not lest ye be judged... and my understanding, from what i remember of it, is that Jesus hung out with the lepers and the prostitutes and the folks that were undesirables, perhaps.... he wanted nothing to do with people much like the guy making these false claims.... and were he here today, I am pretty confident he would be telling people like this asshole to shut the fuck up. Now, that is of course assuming jesus ever really existed.... but, from their own book that they claim to believe, they are trying to create things that just aren't there.

17. You don't know your Bible
Instituting the death penalty was in the same chapter where Jesus talked about capital gains tax cuts. These people remind me of a caller to some local talk show a while back. They were talking about some class of immigrants, and the caller felt compelled to point out that "these people don't believe in Jesus or nothing."

9. This sort of speech is getting worse. It
is absolutely frightening. Has it always been this bad or is it that there are so many more ways of communicating vile and vicious language today? The rants we hear sound more like a terrorist than a normal person. No normal person would think of saying these things. Of course I do not know what is considered normal anymore.

18. *That* guy again
He's the one who baits and harangues cops at border inspection points and catches it on video. Occasionally he hits paydirt, and gets manhandled and tased.

He posts his sermons online. They're shouty Limbaugh/Savage diatribes with a religious veneer. You can watch him tell his flock of a dozen or so who are God's candidates in upcoming elections, and who are the devil's. Of course, he's not stupid enough to do it explicitly on camera, so he reminds them to pay close attention to his hammy gesticulation and mugging.

The dude is wired tighter than a combat vet with PTSD and anger issues. I expect he'll be a big item in the news one day for something jaw-droppingly stupid.

Service times are here: http://www.faithfulwordbaptist.org/page3.html

21. Too bad these dumb shits can't tell the difference
between the commandments their god authored--including "thou shalt not kill"--and all the stuff the priests came up with to control and bedevil their fellow Jews.

They don't seem to think there is anything wrong with consuming pork, a sin on a par with homosexuality, forbidden by the priests but unaddressed by their god.

They also don't realize Jesus never said a word about homosexuality. Only Paul did, and Paul never met Jesus.

Jesus, however, had a lot to say about divorce and remarriage, especially for women.

That never seems to trouble any of them.

24. This sounds like a perfect time to pull out the famous Dr. Laura letter!
Dear Dr. Laura,

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind him that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate.

I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the specific laws and how to best follow them.

a) When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

b) I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

c) I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

d) Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

e) I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?

f) A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an Abomination (Lev 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?

g) Lev 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?

h) Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev 19:27. How should they die?

i) I know from Lev 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

j) My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Lev 24:10-16) Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively, so I am confident you can help.

Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging.

Your devoted disciple and adoring fan.
