His mesmerizing powers (which fortunately are waning) allow him to paralyze his victims before he sucks their essence out of their craniums. He is also losing his cloaking ability, which so far has allowed his feeding frenzies to go undetected. He and his cohorts are the main causes of America's brain crisis, and until they are put into vampire rehab, the horror will continue.
