Looking for clarification on the living wills/"death panel" issue...

I've read a few times that the living will portion of the healthcare proposal is a regular practice that many Repukes have voted in favor of before (if was offered up by a black Dem president).

Were those votes for individual states?

If so, is there a list anywhere of states that have some kind of requirements for living wills?

Is there a list of the Repukes who have voted in favor of them before and are a spewing bullshit lies about them now?

Thanks in advance for any help. I want to be well-armed as I ride off to spar with ignorant family members. :hi:

sponsored the provision (Section 1233) which was put in the bill.

If you want my opinion, which I have been giving out freely, it was so the Republicons could latch on to the talking point about killing grandma.

I tell everybody that the Republicons planned it. I call it the most depraved political ploy that I have ever witnessed.
